I am Professor and Dean at The Assam Royal Global University. I have published extensively on Indian policing and British policing, Research Methodology and relations between the State and Civil society. I was the coordinator of a large-scale field survey on panchayats and local governance at CSSSC between 2005 and 2007. Currently, I am working on a book on Sports and Culture in India to be published by Routledge, London.

I have been teaching at Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai since 2007. I am a founding member of Centre for Social Entrepreneurship in TISS. I teach courses on Micro Economics, Macro Economics, Microfinance, Quantitative Research Methodology, Risk Management, Econometrics, Social Entrepreneurship and Economics of Strategic Management.

I have worked with TISS, Mumbai on three research projects. The broad area of my research is on labour and spatial analysis of housing in metropolitan cities like Mumbai. I completed my doctorate from TISS, Mumbai. My thesis was on Informal Housing and Space in Navi Mumbai. Currently, I am teaching social studies to Higher Secondary students.

I am associated with the Centre for Study of Social Exclusion and Inclusive Policies, TISS, Mumbai as Junior Research Fellow. For my doctoral research, I am focusing on processes of identification among Brahmin caste groups in Uttarakhand. Prior to this, for my M.Phil, I did an ethnographic study of a Raji tribe, a Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG) of Uttarakhand.

I have a long research experience in doing both qualitative field-based research as well as secondary data-based quantitative research. I teach Sociology and teach courses spanning Research Methods, Sociological Theory, Social Stratification, Sociology of Everyday Life, Sociology of Religion and Cultures of Capital.

Over these years, I have contributed to Conceptualize, design and administer some research initiatives in water policies and its impacts on people's settlements in Mumbai. I have developed a status report of WASH access in informal settlements during lock-down in Mumbai, challenges in implementation of 74th CAA in Maharashtra.

I am teacher-educator. My primary interest lies in Philosophy of education and social science pedagogy. These days I am working on Peace Education and Critical Pedagogies.

I am a bricoleur and faculty at the Indian School of Development Management. I have published a book titled ICTs and Development: A Study of Telecentres in Rural India, by Palgrave Macmillan (UK) 2013. My research on Digital Platforms and the Digital Divide is published in the Australasian Journal of Information Systems.

I have been a development practitioner for more than a decade before moving into full-time academics in 2010. I have a PhD in Social Sciences from TISS, Mumbai and the work involved understanding the livelihoods of young persons with disabilities in rural India. Presently, I am the Faculty at TISS, Hyderabad.

We implement projects related to research and implementation of development projects. Over the years, we have built numerous partnerships and have conducted research related to needs assessments, baseline surveys and impact evaluations. Our implementation wing has worked on projects related to safe water access and providing clean energy services.
